This Privacy Policy describes how QRator (the “app”), developed by Pull Apps (“we”, “our”, or “us”), handles your information. By using QRator, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

QRator is designed to let you create, scan, and manage QR codes while minimizing the information collected from you.

QRator may process information you enter or select when using the app, including:

  • Text, URLs, contact details, Wi-Fi credentials, or other content you choose to encode in a QR code.

  • QR codes you scan or generate.

  • QR codes and related content you choose to save or manage within the app.

  • Support requests, feedback, or communications you send to us.

QR content may contain personal information if you choose to include it. You are responsible for the information you encode in or share through your QR codes.

Camera Access

QRator may request access to your device's camera to:

  • Scan QR codes.

  • Read information encoded in QR codes.

  • Support other camera-based features available in the app.

Camera access is used to provide these features. You can manage or revoke camera permissions at any time through your device settings.

Photos and Media Library Access

QRator may request access to your photo library to:

  • Import images containing QR codes for scanning.

  • Save generated QR codes as images.

  • Export or share QR codes when you choose to do so.

Your photos and images remain under your control. QRator does not upload your personal photo library to our servers as part of these features.

Analytics

We may use analytics services to understand how users interact with QRator and to improve its reliability and performance.

Depending on the services implemented, this information may include:

  • App version and operating system version.

  • Device type and technical information.

  • Feature usage and interaction events.

  • Crash reports and performance metrics.

We aim to minimize the collection of personal information. Analytics and diagnostic data may be processed by third-party service providers in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

2. How We Use Information

We use analytics data collected through Amplitude to understand how users interact with QRator, identify which features are used, and improve the app's functionality and user experience.

QR code generation and scanning are provided as core features of the app.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Information may be shared only when necessary:

  • With trusted third-party service providers that support app analytics, diagnostics, or other implemented services.

  • When you explicitly choose to share a QR code or its contents through another app or service.

  • When required by applicable law or necessary to protect our legal rights.

QRator does not upload the content of your generated or scanned QR codes to Pull Apps servers as part of its core QR code functionality.

Please note that when you open a URL, connect to a Wi-Fi network, or share QR content with another app, the relevant third-party service may process information according to its own privacy policy.

4. Data Storage and Retention

QR codes, saved content, and related app data may be stored locally on your device, depending on the features you use.

We do not maintain a central account or cloud-based QR code library as part of the app's core functionality.

You can manage or delete locally stored content through the app's available features. Uninstalling the app may remove locally stored data, depending on your device and backup settings.

If you use device-provided backup services, such as Apple iCloud backup, some app data may be included according to your device settings.

Analytics and diagnostic information collected by third-party services may be retained according to their respective retention policies.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

QRator does not use website cookies as part of its core functionality.

However, the app or its integrated third-party services may use device identifiers or similar technologies for analytics where applicable.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to minimize the collection of personal information and help protect information processed by the app.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.

You should avoid encoding sensitive information in QR codes that you intend to make publicly available or share with others.
